A member at Knollwood since 2011, Katharine Martin joined the ministry staff in late 2019. Previously, she taught English, ethics, and religion and has also served as a missionary in India, a chaplain and outreach coordinator, and a children’s minister. Katharine holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Salem College, and both a master of education degree and a master of divinity degree from Wake Forest University.
Among her other leadership roles at Knollwood, Katharine has served on the Women’s Retreat committee and the Racial Equity Task Force, and she teaches in the Faith Matters Sunday school class and helps lead the children’s worship program. She is passionate about building inclusive community and helping others discover spiritual practices, explore their faith, and deepen their relationship with God.
Katharine and her husband, Brent, an IT enterprise architect at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, have two young daughters, Annabel and Rosalie.She enjoys watching British dramas, learning about the Enneagram, and following professional women’s soccer.
