Doug Vancil

Doug Vancil began asKnollwood’s Music Associate and Organist on Sept. 1, 2023, continuing his long and distinguished career as minister of music, organist, and pianist. Earlier in 2023, he concluded a 24-year tenure of service at First Baptist, Greensboro, where he worked alongside his wife, Terri, who is also an experienced church musician.

Doug holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Murray State University and a Master of ChurchMusic degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Doug will also serve in an interim position until Dec. 31,2024, assisting the pastor in hospital and congregational visitation.
