Cub Scout Pack 911

The Cub Scouts of Pack 911 enjoy bimonthly den meetings, camping monthly excursions and activities, Cub Scout Camp at Raven Knob, and summer day camp. In Cub Scouts, the boys start with their best right-now selves and grow into their very best future selves.

2024 marked the ninth year for Cub Scout Pack 911 at Knollwood. This year we added a Lion Den to our Cub Scout family. Twenty-two energetic boys in kindergarten through fifth grade comprise our Pack.

Since last spring we have:

• Had five Arrow of Light Scouts cross over to BSA Troop 911

• Camped at Seymour Johnson AFB and attended the Wings Over Wayne Air Show featuring the Blue Angels

• Spent a June afternoon fishing, a first-time experience for some Cubs

• Began a new Scout year with a hot dog supper introductory meeting

• Participated in Fall Family Adventure Weekend at Raven Knob Boy Scout Camp in October

• Sold Brown Bear products for our annual fundraiser in November

• Held an Adventure and Rank advancement recognition in December with Brittany Gomez from the WSPD sharing with us

• Successfully launched rockets at Whitaker Park in January (the trees ate only one rocket this year)

• Participated in the annual Scouting for Food Drive in February — Pack 911 combined with Troop 911 to collect 2,062 pounds of food for Crisis Control

• Held regular den meetings and worked on rank advancement

• Built and raced Pinewood Derby cars in March
