All God’s Children

This ministry team focuses on advocacy and activism for those often excluded from full participation in society and church life. The group has initiated studies and activism focused on justice for those of diverse race or ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender identity, socioeconomic status, and more. AGC's Antiracism subgroup welcomes those interested in learning about actions to promote racial equity, and about supporting Black-led non-profits through gifts of time, talent, and donations.

All God’s Children (AGC) continues to spread the word to our 80-plus email distribution list about different opportunities in our area. We work with Katharine Martin, our ministerial liaison. In 2023-24, the AGC team has had two well-attended meetings and discussed plans for Knollwood’s representation in June’s Pride Winston-Salem parade and recommendations for adjustments to our welcome statement to affirm All God’s Children more clearly. The group also attended a play by the North Carolina Black Repertory Company in April. We continue to work with Black-led nonprofits in town to submit funding proposals to MAAC.
