David Rice, the executive director of Public Ed Works and a former legislative correspondent, will examine the high stakes for public education in the November election. Based in Raleigh, Public Ed Works is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization that focuses on increasing residents’ knowledge of public education in North Carolina.

One of Knollwood’s signature initiatives, Faith in the City hosts from October through May a variety of speakers who provide current information and facilitate provocative discussions about how education systems can better serve all students. Faith in the City invites participants to deepen community conversations about complex issues and find ways to work together to address injustices.

Faith in the City meets in-person from noon to 1 PM, with a Zoom option available. For further information or the Zoom link, contact faithinthecitykbc@gmail.com.
