One of Knollwood’s signature initiatives, Faith in the City invites participants to deepen community conversations about complex issues and find ways to work together to address injustices. Join us as in December as we discuss the topic “Adolescent Mental Health: Helping our Students Cope.”
Concern about the growing mental health needs of adolescents is spurring action by schools here and elsewhere to address problems such as anxiety, depression, isolation, and substance abuse that affect student outcomes.
What does that critical support for emotional well-being look like, and what can we learn from a more nuanced view of adolescent stress that can change the ways in which we address their needs?
Faith in the City hosts from October through May a variety of speakers who provide current information and facilitate provocative discussions about how education systems can better serve all students.
Faith in the City meets in-person from noon to 1 PM, with a Zoom option available. For further information or the Zoom link, contact faithinthecitykbc@gmail.com.
