Inspire 2024: Worship, Arts, and Service Camp

This summer’s Inspire 2024: Worship, Arts, and Service Camp is scheduled for July 29-Aug. 2 and is for children who have completed first through eighth grades. It will run daily from 8:30 AM-1 PM with an optional extra music intensive hour from 1-2 PM Monday through Thursday.

On Friday, Aug. 2, all families are invited to join us for a final worship service at noon. Camp will conclude at 1 PM when that service ends.

Children will bring a bagged lunch from home each day to enjoy. If children attend the extended day option, a light snack will be provided to them at 1 PM.

We hope that our kids will be inspired to create and to serve as a result of their camp experience. The word “inspire” comes from the Latin word “spirare” (“to breathe”), as does the word “spirit.” It is our prayer that the Spirit will move among us during our week of camp. We love this definition for inspire: “to infuse (as life) by breathing.” May arts, worship, and service be as life-giving as breath for us all.

The theme this year is “Take Me To The Water.” This theme invites children and leaders to explore baptismal stories and water imagery found in the Bible. As children begin to explore the stories of water, they will begin to understand the importance water plays in the Bible, in history, in music, in their faith, and in the world around them.

Registration is now open for KBC families, extended family members, and the general public. Cost is $90 for the week (Monday-Friday), $25 dollars extra for the extended day option.
