Children are precious to us at Knollwood, where our children’s ministry seeks to inspire in them a passion for Jesus Christ through Scripture, and to empower families for spiritual growth.
This summer’s Inspire 2024: Worship, Arts, and Service Camp is scheduled for July 29-Aug. 2 and is for children who have completed first through eighth grades. It will run daily from 8:30 AM-1 PM with an optional extra music intensive hour from 1-2 PM Monday through Thursday.
The Children’s Ministry at Knollwood has a full year of exciting activities planned for our youngest members. We look forward to seeing you, and we encourage you to invite friends to join you for these times of fun and faith!
Children and adults will glaze bowls for the Empty Bowls fundraiser of the Second Harvest Food Bank of NWNC.
Bring your Easter baskets! There will be carnival-style games, art projects, relays, prizes, an Easter egg hunt, stories, songs, and more!
Kindergarten through fifth graders will join Betsy Messick to paint and explore the Tree of Life theme found throughout the history of art, most well-known from murals by Austrian artist Gustave Klimt.
The centerpiece of our Christian education for children on Sundays is through Sunday School where we focus on biblical foundations, fellowship, and service.
Kindergarten through fifth graders use the Shine curriculum to gain greater experience in applying the teachings of the Bible to their own lives and the work of the church. These students begin Sunday school practicing hymns from the Hymns for a Lifetime program.
We provide infants through preschoolers with a nurturing, creative, and caring environment during the Sunday school time through activities with Bible stories, music, and crafts.
Wednesday nights during the school year are an important time to connect with others in our community midweek. Our children have music education, a meal, fellowship, missions, and learning opportunities for all ages.

Knollwood now sponsors the Cub Scout Pack 911, which meets Sunday late afternoons and other times. Pack 911 enjoys bimonthly den meetings, camping, monthly excursions and activities, Cub Scout Camp at Raven Knob, and summer day camp.
In Cub Scouts, the boys start with the best right-now selves and grow into their very best future selves.
