Listening Our Way Through Lent

We often think of Lent as a time for penance, and it is, but Lent is so much more. The season of Lent invites us to slow down and listen more carefully to God’s Word, to those we love, and to the wisdom of our own hearts. Join us on the 2017 Knollwood Women’s Retreat as we listen more carefully, so that we might live more abundantly.

~Amy Finkelberg
Women’s Retreat Leader 2017

A native of North Carolina, Amy attended the University of Richmond (BA, 1991) and upon hergraduation taught high school English for six years.  Following a call to ministry, Amy enrolled in the Wake Forest University Divinity School as a part of its inaugural class, graduating in 2002.

Upon graduation, Amy served as Associate Pastor at Northminster Baptist Church in Jackson, MS, for twelve and a half years.  Though she left Northminster to spend more time with family and to pursue other ministry opportunties, Amy is still an active member and is grateful to call Northminster her family of faith.  Amy is married to Arty Finkelberg, a native of the Bronx who has come to love the South.  When not working, Amy and Arty enjoy traveling and spending time with family, friends, and their wonderful Maltese, Casper.
